李娟博士,上海交通大學(xué)企業(yè)管理專業(yè)博士，瑞典林雪平大學(xué)工學(xué)院（2009.09-2009.12）及美國華盛頓大學(xué)圣路易斯分校奧林商學(xué)院（2015.01-2016.03）訪問學(xué)者，現(xiàn)為南京大學(xué)工程偉德國際1946bv官網(wǎng)副教授，研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)樾袨檫\(yùn)作管理。曾在《管理科學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)》等發(fā)表高水平論文10余篇。
內(nèi)容介紹：
This paper is to explore how social comparison influences order decisions in newsvendor settings. Firstly, we analyze the order decisions of subjects in settings without social comparison and find that instead of chasing demand, subjects tend to chase prior quantities, that is, subjects adjust their order quantities towards prior order quantities, basing on the prior realized demand. Besides, the order decisions of subjects are pulled to the mean of demand distributions, and the order decisions of male subjects are closer to the corresponding optimal order decisions and fluctuate less than those of female subjects. Secondly, we conduct comparison on order quantities across subjects with same gender and different gender. The results demonstrate that comparison mitigates subjects’ decision bias, which is more significant when the comparison is across subjects with different gender.
