June 3, 2014, Dr. Paul Burke, Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University, and Dr. ChunBo Ma, the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources Economics of the University of Western Australia, were invited to visit our school. Dr. Paul made a presentation entitled "Reducing Biomass Dependence in the Home: Evidence from National-Level Data". The report was hosted by Teacher Liao Hua. Part of SME students and teachers attended the meeting. Dean Professor Wei Yiming met with Dr. Paul Burke and Dr. MA Chunbo after the report.
Dr. Paul Burke introduced the indoor air pollution and health problems caused by the household biomass use (cooking and heating, etc.).
